After clearing immigration, I began my day of lounge hopping by starting at The Wing First Class lounge. It was luckily still very early before 6am, so it provided a good opportunity to get pictures without many people in it.

The bottom level is check-in and business class lounge.

After check-in, you head upstairs to the First Class part of the lounge.

ree

The lounge itself is mostly an open air terrace with great views, however during busy boarding times isn't that quiet. The first area is a buffet dining and lounge area.

Some cold cuts and salad materials.

ree

Pastries (which were quite good).

Between sections are workstation areas.

Then a more lounge focused area.

Then the final section is a nice champagne bar.

ree

The champagne bar looked great, but I'd wait for later in the day to enjoy a glass so I didn't get sleepy.

The middle hallway to The Haven restaurant, showers and cabanas.

In the back are bathrooms and the famous cabanas - private bathroom and lounges with a tub, shower and sink. I wasn't quite ready to utilize it this early in the day.

Back outside onto the deck and viewing area.

Some of the best plane spotting from here, can watch planes taking off one after the other.

After the quick tour, I headed off to The Pier First Class Lounge, a long walk or quick train ride out there.

Returning later in the day after going into Hong Kong to meet ShF for lunch, I returned to The Wing from the upper level.

A panoramic view.

Grabbing some coffee to make sure I stay awake.

Can you spot the small bird down below?

Time for the champagne bar!

ree

Choices, choices...

ree

Some Henriot rose was perfect for the afternoon with bright raspberries combined with mineral and stone fruit backbone.

After enjoying my champagne and plane spotting some more, I headed to The Pier to finish out the day before my flight.

ree

The Wing is a good lounge, especially if it's for while you're waiting for a flight in the general area. The Pier is definitely more impressive and truly feels special, but there's no problem spending time at The Wing.
